The 2026 GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS calendar has now been finalised, with the series to hold its sixth and final round at the Repco Supercars Championship’s Adelaide Grand Final.
Taking place on the iconic streets of Adelaide, the series’ 2026 season finale will form part of a bumper event to see off the year with a bang on December 3–6.
It won’t be the first time GT World Challenge Australia has competed on the Supercars bill in Adelaide either, having featured at the Adelaide 500 just two years ago, where it concluded the 2023 season in style.
Boasting a fast and technical street circuit that leaves no room for error, the event is known for its festival-like atmosphere that draws massive crowds and spectacular racing, making it an ideal location to conclude the season.
With the first five rounds of next year’s campaign having already been revealed as part of a global SRO Motorsports Group announcement at the famous CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa event in June, the round now completes an exciting calendar.
Starting off with GT Festival Phillip Island at the end of March, the series will then make its way to the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park in May and Queensland Raceway in June before its maiden visit to Hidden Valley Raceway for GT Festival Darwin in July.
Sydney Motorsport Park will then host the penultimate round of the series’ 2026 season, before it returns to South Australia for one of the biggest events on the Australian motorsport calendar.
GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS will once again headline the Shannons SpeedSeries for the first five rounds on a bill featuring growing categories such as Monochrome GT4 Australia, the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia and Mustang Cup Australia series.
More details on the 2026 GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS season will be announced in the coming months.

Ben McMellan
SRO Motorsports Australia CEO
“We are pleased to officially lock in our calendar for 2026 with an event as prestigious as the Adelaide Grand Final,” McMellan said.
“To return to the Adelaide street circuit and wrap our season is an exciting prospect for the category and I have no doubt that our teams, drivers and other stakeholders will thoroughly enjoy going there.
“This race track has a rich motorsport history having been where the Australian Grand Prix raced at back in the day, while the Adelaide Grand Final event itself is one of the biggest in the country, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for the category to be able to see off the year on that platform.
“A big thank you to the South Australian Motorsport Board for helping this get over the line and I look forward to seeing a full field of the best GT cars in Australia battling it out at this iconic event at the end of 2026."
