Ferrari GT3s arrive at Arise Racing GT

Arise Racing GT’s two Ferrari 296 GT3s have arrived in Perth ahead of their debut in the 2024 Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS.

The stunning machines, resplendent in their factory Ferrari black carbon fibre look, docked into Perth recently and cleared customs before making their way to Arise Racing GT’s workshop.

The team will conduct a shakedown on both cars at Carco Raceway (Wanneroo) in the coming weeks before more testing at Phillip Island ahead of the opening round at the picturesque Grand Prix circuit in April.

Both of the Ferraris will compete in the Pro-Am class, with Supercars star Chaz Mostert paired with reigning GT champion Liam Talbot, while fast Kiwi Jaxon Evans will be joined by Elliott Schutte.

Arise Racing will receive technical support from the Maranello factory, ensuring the team can hit the ground running with the brand-new machines.

Team Manager Jordan Oon says that his team is excited to get the 296s onto the track and officially start their GT World Challenge journey.

“We’re working with the goal to have them on track in the next two weeks,” Oon confirmed.

“Being a brand new car, there’s a host of systems and procedures we all have to get our heads around which will be the focus of the shakedown.

“It’ll also be about educating the drivers as well as the team, as these cars are incredibly advanced compared to other GT3 cars we’ve experienced.

“There’s a lot of preparation going on to make sure we have everything ready, but the team is motivated and doing an absolutely fantastic job.”

The opening round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS will be held as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries at Phillip Island on April 12-14.
