Following a successful debut in the Arise Racing GT Ferrari 296 GT3 at Phillip Island last month, Jaxon Evans will return to his Porsche roots as he contests the second event of Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS for Phantom Global Racing.
No stranger to the squad after finishing an impressive fourth outright at this year’s Repco Bathurst 12 Hour, Evans will join Chinese competitor Sun JungZu in the team’s Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) as it continues his relationship with the brand by remaining on its list of contracted drivers.
A strong field at Chang International Circuit has Evans going up against some of the world’s best GT drivers including Luca Stolz, Maro Engel, Markus Winkelhock, Maximilian Goetz and Patrick Pilet.
This cameo appearance continues a remarkable season for Evans after securing full-time campaigns in the Repco Supercars Championship and the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS.
Just a fortnight ago, Evans scored his best finish thus far in the SCT Motorsport Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 on home turf at Taupo, NZ, and gave the Arise Racing GT operation a maiden podium appearance for Ferrari alongside Elliott Schutte at Phillip Island last month.
The Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS will contest two one hour races at Chang International Circuit on May 10-12, while Evans will return to the Arise Racing GT Ferrari 296 GT3 at The Bend Motorsport Park on May 31-June 2.

#13 Phantom Global Racing, Porsche 911 GT3R (992)
“I'm excited to be making my Asian racing debut and rejoining Phantom Global Racing,” said Evans.
“Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia has proven to be a popular and competitive series, racing on the same format as here in Australia.
“Partnering with JZ in the #13 Porsche 911 GT3R, we hope to arrive with a strong package. BOP is always a talking point, so we don’t actually know until we get on track.
“It’s my first time going to the Chang International Circuit and Thailand so I'm looking forward to a fun weekend.
"All these additional laps and race miles keeps me sharp and diversified as a driver. I'm getting plenty of seat time this year between Supercars and GT World Challenge Australia, so to add more with Porsche is a nice bonus. Hopefully a couple of big additions to announce in the coming week."
