The GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS 2026 season will welcome back Zagame Autosport for the 2026 season with the team to roll out for a full campaign following a solid debut in New Zealand last year.
The team will once again campaign a Ferrari 296 GT3 for the season, with Josh Buchan and Cameron Campbell to continue driving together in the Pro-Am class.
The pair made their GT World Challenge Australia debut at the 2025 season finale in New Zealand, where they finished the round with two top 10 finishes.
Buchan certainly impressed behind the wheel of the Ferrari, qualifying in fourth place overall, while Campbell showed plenty of promise during his official session before the pair went on to score an eighth-place finish in the opening race, wrapping up the weekend with a 10th-place finish.
Both drivers have plenty of experience heading into the 2026 GT World Challenge Australia season, with Buchan a two-time TCR Australia champion, having guided Zagame Autosport to podiums and race victories in Monochrome GT4 Australia alongside Am driver Jason Yu.
Campbell’s progress to the top level started with his debut in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia at the start of last year; since then the New South Welshman has been a regular competitor and enjoyed success of his own when he ended up third in the Trofeo Pirelli class standings after scoring seven podiums across the five-round season.
The pair will begin their official debut season in GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries’ LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Phillip Island on 27-29 March.

“I can’t say how excited I am to be racing the full season in GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS,” said Buchan.
“To do it with any of the manufacturers on the grid is phenomenal, but to do it in a Ferrari is very, very cool.
“Last year’s season finale in New Zealand was our team’s shakedown and it was the perfect way to get our crew used to what we will be up against in the upcoming season.
“We probably exceeded our expectations a little bit due to being a single-car entry in what is arguably the most technically advanced model on the grid, we performed well as a team.
“Cameron’s phenomenal. A more committed guy you will not find. This program is 18 months in the making since the days when we first heard about it. Often with life, and how busy someone like Cameron can be, you can get distracted and move on before it even starts.
“Cameron’s so committed to what we’re doing, what the team’s doing and more importantly, what he’s doing inside and outside the car. We bounce of each other really well in that respect, we’re always pushing each other to be in as a good a nick as possible before we hit the track.
“He is such a raw talent that my job to mould him into exactly what I want from a co-driver is exciting. Cameron’s learning curve in the last 12 months has been ridiculous. Going from barely racing to competing for the first time at Bathurst last year, he was the only driver in Ferrari Challenge to do The Chase flat at 300km/h!
“Particularly in Australia, sometimes unless you race Supercars no one thinks you’re any good. Recently, I competed at the highest level in TCR toughest circuits against a lot more experienced drivers good at their craft and won. It’s a good field of drivers coming from a wide range of pathways, but I’m racing against myself and if I can do the best job I can, then I’m certain it’ll be good enough to put the car up the front.
“The team and I believe we have a good combination. We’ve got good help and resource from Ferrari, and assistance from some great engineers, so hopefully we can do ourselves proud at the first event at Phillip Island.”

“I’m genuinely excited to be returning to GT World Challenge Australia in 2026, and even more excited to be doing it alongside Josh and the entire Zagame Autosport team.
“What stands out to me isn’t just the program, it’s the people. Josh, Rod (Wilson), and the whole group behind the scenes have built something special – There’s real belief within this team and there’s a shared commitment to getting better together.
“I learned a huge amount last season and every time I get back in the Ferrari 296 I see where I can improve. The focus for me is simple: be consistent, keep learning, and make small improvements every time I sit in the car. That’s how you build real progress.
Both combine experience, leadership and belief have created a foundation that gives me absolute confidence – Josh has been an incredible mentor and teammate. He has great composure and understands how to build a driver, so I’m absorbing as much as I can. The belief and standard he has for me pushes me to lift my own game.
“Rod’s professionalism, structure, attention to detail and genuine car for people highlights his incredible leadership qualities. Rod has built an environment where accountability and support go hand in hand, and as a driver you feel that.
“The more seat time I get, the sharper I become. The goal is to keep narrowing the gap, execute clean weekends, and give ourselves the opportunity to fight further up the field.
