Mark Rosser locks in 2026 drive, with Thomas Randle to step in for Phillip Island

Team BRM will welcome back Mark Rosser for the 2026 GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS season, with Supercars star Thomas Randle locked in for the season-opening LIQUI-MOLY GT Festival Phillip Island.

While regular co-driver Alex Peroni was expected to race alongside Rosser for the full season, an injury to the Tasmanian has left him unable to get fit in time for next week’s event at Phillip Island.

That saw Randle get the nod as the super sub, partnering Rosser in the Team BRM Audi R8 LMS EVO II – similarly to his debut appearance last year where he filled in for a one-off round at Eastern Creek where he picked up a podium.
It wasn’t the only time Randle has run in a GT car, with multiple starts in the Bathurst 12 Hour for Scott Taylor Motorsport as part of the stellar entry supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Having been a regular full-timer in Supercars after graduating to the main game following his 2020 Super2 title, his time in Supercars has seen him net 11 podiums across his career.

Randle has also forged an impressive international junior career – highlighted by the 2017 Castrol Toyota Racing Series title in New Zealand and race wins in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship in 2016, while enjoying strong national campaigns in the Australian Formula Ford, which he won in 2014, and finishing second in Australian Formula 4 in 2015. More recently, he ran in National Sports Sedans and the S5000 Australian Drivers Championship, the latter of which he ran with Team BRM.

As for Rosser, he has been a proven race winner in GT World Challenge Australia over the past two seasons, with he and Peroni’s race wins in Queensland and The Bend last year following on from the strong campaign in 2024, where they won again in Queensland and Bathurst, in addition to picking up a podium in Sydney.

Rosser has also enjoyed his fair share of success outside of the category, with a solid record of results across his motorsport career that began in 2021, primarily in GT racing both in Australia and internationally, including the Gulf 12 Hour.

He has also had stints in categories such as Aussie Racing Cars, the S5000 Tasman Series and Australian Drivers Championship, the Australian Prototype Series and Formula 4, as well as competing in multiple Bathurst 12 Hours with Team BRM with his best finish being eighth in 2022 with Nick Percat and Joey Mawson.

In that same year, Rosser also stood on the Class B podium as part of the Bathurst 6 Hour alongside Steve Cox and Peter Bray.

Mark Rosser and Thomas Randle will kick off the 2026 GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS season at this month’s LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Phillip Island at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit on 27-29 March.

QUOTES
Mark Rosser
#246 Team BRM Audi LMS EVO II

“I’m really excited to get the season underway at Phillip Island,” Rosser said.
“We were strong here last year, so it’s a great place to start, and I’m looking forward to building on that performance. It’s obviously unfortunate not to have Alex for the opening rounds, but we’re very fortunate to have Tom step in – he’s a quality driver and brings great experience.”

“He’s worked with Marcus (Koch) before and we’ve done some sim work together, so there’s already a strong foundation there.

“It’s been a busy lead-in for the team after Bathurst, with a last-minute effort to get the car ready, but everyone’s done a fantastic job to have us on track. As always, the goal is to fight for strong results and ultimately the championship, and with tracks like Phillip Island and The Bend suiting us, we’re hoping to start the season on the front foot.”

Thomas Randle
#246 Team BRM Audi LMS EVO II

“I’m really excited to be joining GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS for this round with Mark and Team BRM in the Audi LMS GT3 Evo II,” Randle said.

“It’s a great opportunity, even if it’s just a one-off for now, and it’s nice to be back working with the team again after my time with them in S5000. There’s a bit of a reunion there with Marcus (Koch) as well, which makes it even more enjoyable.”

“It’s also my first time driving the Audi GT3, so the Media Day has been about getting comfortable and building some laps. Phillip Island is a track I love, and GT cars always put on a great show here, so it’s a perfect place to kick things off.”

“The goal is to work closely with Mark, be competitive, and hopefully put ourselves towards the front. If it leads to more opportunities later in the year, that would be fantastic, but for now, the focus is on doing the best job we can this weekend and filling in while Alex recovers.”
