Josh Buchan has finished Friday at Hidden Valley Raceway on a high, topping the final GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS practice session to give Zagame Autosport its first Practice 2 honours of the 2026 season.
Sharing the #23 Ferrari 296 GT3 with Cameron Campbell, Buchan delivered a late-session flyer of 1:04.714 to edge out the competition in a tightly contested session.
Finishing just 0.082s behind the Ferrari was the Team BRM / Wolfbrook Motorsport Audi R8 LMS EVO II of Ryan Wood and Steve Brooks, with Wood producing the crew's quickest lap to secure second on the timesheets.
Only one thousandth of a second further back was the ARGT Ferrari 296 GT3 of Jaxon Evans and Elliot Schutte. Evans' best effort of 1:04.797 left the Ferrari pair just 0.083s shy of Buchan's benchmark.
The Kelso Electrical / Team MPC Audi R8 LMS EVO II of Broc Feeney and Brad Schumacher ended the session fourth fastest after Feeney posted a 1:04.912, while the OnlyFans Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 of Will Davison and Renee Gracie rounded out the top five with a 1:05.071.
The final practice session proved to be the quickest of the day, with the leading five cars all dipping below the 1:05 barrier as teams continued to refine their setups ahead of Saturday's qualifying sessions.
In the Trophy Class, AED Consulting by Tigani Motorsport's Luke Youlden and Nathan Halstead led the way aboard their Porsche 911 GT3 R.
The pair recorded a best lap of 1:06.134 to comfortably finish as the fastest Trophy entry in the session, ending the day with valuable running ahead of qualifying.

With all three practice sessions complete, attention now turns to Saturday morning's qualifying session at 11:40am ACST, where the grid will be decided for the opening race of the weekend tomorrow afternoon.
