Monochrome GT4 Australia got its first ever taste of Hidden Valley Raceway on Friday afternoon with the opening session of the LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Darwin.
Kicking off the fourth round of the 2026 season in style, the competitive field of GT4 machinery produced an entertaining display in its first official laps of the iconic circuit.
Silver-Am
CAMM Quarries & Concrete Racing’s Lachlan Evennett and Andrew Torti set the benchmark in the Silver-Am class, posting an overall session-best 1:10.876 aboard the GR Supra GT4 EVO 2. The pair steadily improved throughout the session to finish at the top of both the class and the outright standings.
Method Motorsport's Cody Burcher’s recent appointment to the #118 Method Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 paid instant dividends as a 1:10.978 lap put him and Dean Campbell second for the session.
Just over a tenth of a second separated the top two, with Burcher closing the gap during the latter stages of the session.
Completing the Silver-Am top three was Nonorganic Proteins' Caleb Paterson, who guided the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS shared with Kent Quinn to a best lap of 1:11.4247.
It was a solid return for the rising star, who will be looking to give team owner Quinn a victory having done so last year.
Silver
Purdie Racing's Blake Purdie and Jobe Stewart led the Silver class in the session after producing a best lap of 1:11.248 in the #48 Audi R8 LMS GT4.
GWR Australia’s Daniel Frougas and Chris White ended the session second fastest in class with a 1:11.288 aboard the GR Supra GT4 EVO 2, less than four hundredths of a second behind Stewart's benchmark.
Rounding out the Silver class top three was Slatterys/McElrea Racing's Jay Murray, who posted a 1:11.317 in the BMW M4 GT4 G82 EVO to finish less than three hundredths of a second behind the #9 GWR Australia GR Supra - in what proved one of the closest class margins of the session.
Am
Ekebol MPC's Jarrod Keyte enjoyed his first solo session as he set the pace in the Am class with a best lap of 1:12.570 in his Ford Mustang GT4.
Love Racing by TSM's Rob Love finished second aboard the Mercedes-AMG GT4 with a 1:12.6802, ending the session just over a tenth of a second behind the class leader.
Third place went to Randall Racing's Peter Lawrence, who guided the BMW M4 GT4 G82 to a best lap of 1:13.0466 to complete the class podium.
